Members HisMunchkin
I got the "same thing" line by the same person again. He's fighting tooth and nail to claim that it's the same thing as being dumped. And even worse because he was rejected. It impacted him the same way. What the heck?? Getting the last word in is what's most important to him, even with something as absurd as such a claim. And it's like a contest or something. That he's experienced worse or something. Uh... o.k. Congratulations?....🙄 1 1
Moderators widower2 Posted February 23 Author Moderators Report Share Posted February 23 That sounds like something a 7th-grader would say. How absurd.

Moderators Popular Post KayC Posted February 23 Moderators Popular Post Report Share Posted February 23 Wow! Not a contest! My "confused" emoticon was due to him, not you. Good grief! I'd steer clear of that person! And you only two months out! I'm here to tell you, even with a long marriage/divorce, a break up is NOT the same as losing your person, your soulmate, to death. Not by a long shot! That plagues you for LIFE! You do stop missing someone you're divorced from, but never your soulmate. 2 1

The worst one I had to endure was the day after my wife passed and my BiL said "You're still young. You can get married again." My BiL!!! Members HisMunchkin
Here's a new one: When I said that it's hard to believe that my husband's gone at the age of 51, someone said to me, "People used to die in their 40's!".......

I often wish we had a wow emoticon here, I'd use it on this one! My husband died five days after turning 51, way too soon! We thought we had at least another 20 years before facing stuff like this. I am so sorry. People amaze me with their stupidity. 1 hour ago, widower2 said:  I had to look it up...🤦 1

I think the old adage "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" applies here. The great Roy Orbison even wrote a song to say that....
