Guests Guest Kirbibizzle Posted February 19, 2014 Guests Report Share Posted February 19, 2014 I must admit that this is really a weird way to grieve, but I can't lie and say I haven't had the same thoughts as you at some time. You had 9 good years together, but what good are 9 years when you'll never find another relationship as freaky as the one you shared? It's all crap! You were soulmates, together to the very end! You were supposed to die together from all the years of inhaling each other's toxic fumes, not to go on to live your own separate lives. You still love her and yet your anger has begun to take over because you're so upset she left this world in such a simple manner when she was a complex person. I can understand that. I'm not offended by such negativity, because what you are saying makes perfect sense. I've had the same thoughts in regards to cigarettes. They're crap. It's an addiction that people can't seem to break and it ends up always winning in the end. She tried to win that battle, but she lost. Just like she lost the war against you. You get to live and she doesn't so therefore you win. Viewing life as a victory is a good way to look at it. If that's what you define winning to be, I suppose you are right to feel happy. She made her own decisions and they led to an early grave. No going down in a blaze of glory, just in a blaze. But being dead has its own perks too, you know. She could very well be somewhere else above you right now, laughing at how much her memory is tormenting you. Though judging by your feelings towards her, I think you much rather her be below you somewhere. It's a weird balance between love and hate, and I must say it's intriguing.
