To Laura

Today I return you, from whence you came

The Sea and the Earth, will not remember your name

I will however, for all of my days

I will remember you, you and your name

How dear to me, and precious you were

What feelings I had, that still often stir

I told you I love you, so long ago

I took that vow that I held so close

Your love for me has made me strong

Now you must go, and I must go on

I thank you for loving me, and sharing my life

Thanks for all the power tools, and for being my wife

I loved you completely, with all that I had

I loved you like that, even when things got really bad

I loved you like that yesterday, and still do today

But now its time for me, to go my own way

I do this today, and I do it alone

Wondering how much of the future, I ever really owned

Kurt

Kurt, Your beautiful poem was written with so much love. It reflects the powerful love that you shared with one another. It brought tears to my eyes for your loss of your lovely wife. Have a peaceful day. Hugs, ocean
