The Loss of Grandma Around Thanksgiving 2014

On November 26, 2014, heaven gained another angel and her name is Lillian Faye Simon. Sometimes we call her Faye or Grandma Faye. She suffered from a stroke and was in the hospital for a couple of weeks. My dad, three uncles and four aunts flew down to see her and spent time with her (all of Grandma's eight beautiful children).  Her loss was very devastating for all of us. I gave Dad a big huge hug . It was devastating for them because they lost their mommy obviously. That was their mother. The last time I saw her alive was the summer of 2014 and the family be was a southern woman with her love for family, singing and her relationship with God. Not all of us made it to her memorial but was there in spirit. Thanksgiving is hard every year, but she is always with us. We love you Grandma Faye. There's not a day that we don't think about you and miss you.
