Making sense of losing a pet

I lost many cats over the years. So e O gave away s9ne passed on and so e just never came back. I mourn the loss of my last cat because I was do comfortable with her abd she me. I had a better relationship with the cat than I have with most humans. I have a fish now because I am highly allergic...it's just not the same. Missingmy Madeline.

Have you tried a bird?  I've had carrier pigeons, very destressing and fun to watch, the pen right outside my kitchen window.  Also had parakeets, they were also fun to watch and listen to.

I'm sorry for your loss.  Been there.  I have a feral cat now but outdoors only, but still have grown attached but mostly to my service dog.  My last cat, Kitty, lived to 25 1/2, it was hard losing her.
