Members Nikisha Posted January 5, 2024 Members Report Posted January 5, 2024 My brother was hospitalized on December 17th, suffered a stroke on both sides of his brain. He was in ICU, but died on Christmas Day at the age of 54. We were close and also born on the same day, just seven years apart. I don’t know how to live without him, this is too much. I feel overwhelmed. 1 1
Moderators KayC Posted January 5, 2024 Moderators Report Posted January 5, 2024 I lost mty older sister, the one I was closest to, 1 1/2 years ago, it's very hard. I keep wanting to call her or take her lunch...I was her caregiver, she had disability and dementia. My heart goes out to you in your loss. 1
Members Nikisha Posted January 5, 2024 Author Members Report Posted January 5, 2024 Thanks, I was his caregiver also even when he was in and out of the hospital. This is incredibly hard. I’m also sorry for the loss of your sister. 1

Members fumi Posted November 6, 2024 Members Report Posted November 6, 2024 HI Nikisha I also lost my brother three months ago suddenly from heart attack. He was only 54. I loved him so much and I can't stop feeling pity for him as he missed possible 20-30 years. I am very sad for him. I wonder if people also think of not just how to deal with their grief but of those who died young. Is it wrong to feel pity about him? Should I celebrate his death? 1 1
