Spirituality (non-Christian)

Seeing as how the "Spirituality" thread is almost entirely of a Christian bent, I thought those with other beliefs might like to have a thread which is otherwise to discuss :)  As all are welcome here, regardless of beliefs.

I would identify as spiritual but not so much as religious... I'm finding the grieving process to be a deeply spiritual one... an interesting journey where I'm learning very unexpected things and dealing with many things that I'd not have chosen in a million years but now they're mine to deal with anyway...
I'm finding Prof. Lisa Miller's approach to mental health/ spirituality a helpful, modern and science-based lens through which to view the grief journey...

Oddly enough, although I WOULD identify myself as "Christian," because that was the religion I was raised up in, (and you did say, widower2, that ALL are welcome here?)

so in defense of the above, being on this thread, I was raised Christian, I've read a lot of the Bible and pondered it, but I'd lean more into the ideas of the afterlife and spirituality of all people, so maybe I'm not really a Christian in the strict sense?  so that's where I'm posting from, as one of "all people."

Do animals (and bugs??) have spirits?   I dunno!  but to amend the above, I'm posting as one of "all beings."

Yes. But not to go on and on about Christianity. Clearly that is not the intent of the thread and is not considerate to non-Christians.
