Members Elfar
Tonight I witnessed a grusome scene of my dog's body butchered by an animal. I heard his screams several times before everything went silent🥲🥲🥲 that's when I found myself wondering and hoping it's not him! But sadly after going down the hill in the dark I sadly found his body laying in the gutter. His spine and about 10" of his back was gone! I don't know what type of animal had such a large bite because he was a medium sized miniature greyhound. I'm devastated and can't sleep. I keep seeing that scene! He was my companion and stress relief friend while I am dealing with caring for my mom who suffers with Alzheimer. He slept with eveynight and always there following me everywhere. This trauma is hurting me and don't know that I ever going to forget it🥲🥲🥲💔💔💔 1
Moderators KayC Posted August 10, 2023 Moderators Report Share Posted August 10, 2023 I am so sorry, that is truly horrible, I can't imagine anything worse. It had to be something big like a cougar. I hope it was quick. I would say it's essential you get into grief counseling asap, someone who can walk you through EMDR to help with the imaging.EMDRPsychology Tools, CBT, EMDRBrainspotting and EMDR You can rest assured your beloved dog is at peace now... The what ifs blame game happens to most of us going through early grief, it did me when my husband died nearly 18 years ago...it's not that we are guilty of anything but loving them, and the truth is feelings are not facts, but it's that we can't wrap our heads around what happened, and our mind is trying to find some different possible outcome so it searches all the what ifs...
