Members ParallaxTX
It's been 2 and a half years and the heavy grieving is over, but I still get flashes out of nowhere of finding my ex-partner dead in his home. Each time it's like a punch in the stomach and still seems so surreal. I suppose this is completely normal after witnessing such a tragic event, and it may never go away completely. I feel that I have a heavier burden than some others who did not have to see it. Most have moved on rather easily, but it's still like a weight tied to my ankle, although the weight is definitely lighter than even a year ago. Does anyone have perspective on how they have dealt with witnessing a death on top of the grief of losing someone?

Have you considered a grief counselor that does EMDR?EMDRPsychology Tools, CBT, EMDRBrainspotting and EMDR
