Members Popular Post DWS
I currently am doing a small order for a customer and I'd like share a bit about it. Firstly, my work is in graphics and printing. This order involves producing a small order of special cards and envelopes that are part of my customer's surprise gift for his wife's 40th birthday. He has arranged a 4-day trip away for the two of them and from what I can see, has planned each day carefully to a T with events and sightseeing....where they're having lunch and dinner, a baseball game, museums, etc. I bet he had fun figuring this all out solely keeping his wife in mind and their magical time away. With this gift, he created itinerary cards...one for each day of their trip. He had trouble with some of the design and that's where he sought out my services as he wants these cards done just as he's picturing them so I've done the small details to his liking and now will get them printed on special card stock. Each card will be inserted into its own large envelope and the plan is that he'll give his wife that day's itinerary card each morning at breakfast. Imagine the intrigue and excitement of her pulling out the card to read what he has planned for their day and also his big smile watching her read them. I just find this so beautiful! I imagine this kind of simple and humble yet oh so wonderful gesture of love and loving is what many of us had and why we grieve now at the void. Life can be so damn brutal at times but what made it bearable was creative thoughtfulness like this to add sparkle to our lives together with our partners and spouses. 3 1 1

Yes, for sure it's the little gestures that made me know John didn't just love me, but knew me.

I am going to run the race of life with everything I've got, empowered with the love I received. Sharing things like this tends to the deepest of wounds ... ❤️ Those are words we need to hear.
