  1. 1. Do you feel like you're done grieving?

    • Yes, I'm totally done, nothing left to do, here!
    • Pretty much, I feel empowered that I don't have much work left to do. Some, but not much.
    • Sort of, I feel like every time I'm done, I'm not really done.
    • I'm in the middle of grieving. I hope there's an end.
    • Not really, I just started accepting that I have grief. This is totally new for me
    • No... I'm not ready yet but I know that I'm going to have to.
    • What's grief?

Grief is not a process in my opinion. It's a journey, and sometimes it's a life long one.

Let me share with you how I've moved through my pain, and continue to do so:

My name is Lisa.

I'm a web designer and I've worked with MTV.com, Apple, Adobe among others. I'm also an artist, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Syracuse University and I've recently started painting in the last couple of years.

Long story short, I've lost both parents to cancer by the time I was 27.

I started a blog called http://www.LosingYourParents.org, (and I have another project I'll be launching shortly. I also have a website where I show art that I've done through the grief process, http://www.LisaASnyder.com).

http://www.LosingYourParents.org is where I write about grief and inspire others on moving through it using creativity

art, music, writing, self expression, movement, and talking about how others have done the same.

I've gotten a lot of positive feedback about the blog and the helpful effects it's had on people's growth through their grieving process.

I am also starting to take in posts that folks would like to write on losingyourparents.org. If you have a request for a blog, please click the Submit a Post button.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback.
