I posted this on another forum here, but someone suggested that I re-post it here:

I Never Left You
John F Connor

I watch you every day
I'm always very near
I know deep in your heart
You realize I am here

I watch you while you sleep
In your bed at home
I hear you when you speak to me
When you're on your own.

You cannot understand
The reason why I have gone
But I will never leave you
I'm always there to keep you strong.

Talk to me I hear you
Though you may not see
We share an unbroken bond
That will always be.

Death won't keep us apart
For our love is forever
Just remember me in your heart
And one day we will be together.

Live your life and live it full
Don't waste a single day
Remember I'm always with you
Every step of the way

I think it's reassuring.

Thanks again Jeff, rereading it brought me to tears. To me it's so true and it gave me reassuring comfort. I showed it to my sister in law and she also had tears in her eyes.

Jeff, so good to hear from you again, it's been a while!  Thank you for sharing this with us, it's of my belief and hope too, and speaks so much to us.  Wishing you well...

KayC, thank you - and it's great to hear from you.   I have always liked your signature, and this poem follows that path.  I hope you are doing as well as you can.  Glad you're still on this site.

Thank you!  I hope you're not snowed in right now, we're going to start getting it again Wednesday on.

I hope also that you're surviving these challenging Covid isolation times, I know it's all the harder missing them.
