Moderators widower2 Posted November 4, 2020 Author Moderators Report Share Posted November 4, 2020 Shameless bump - PS I realize for some it may be the last thing they want to see; I get that. But some might appreciate being reminded all is not dark or bad in this world, even when it feels that way - there is always light out there somewhere
Moderators KayC Posted November 4, 2020 Moderators Report Share Posted November 4, 2020 I think this is great and a part of our grief process...newbies might not be able to appreciate this right off the bat, but on down the road it'll be good for them to realize. Along those lines: http://www.aliveinmemory.org/2013/05/30/learning-how-to-smile-again/ One of the most important things I've learned on my journey (in addition to taking one day at a time) is to LOOK for joy....my big joy, George, is gone, but there are still little joys as I call them...I embrace them and fully appreciate them, nothing too small or insignificant to count (we need all the good we can get!) and it has led to me living in the present with gratefulness for what is rather than MERELY focusing on what is bad. We can all see the bad real easy without it being pointed out, it's in our face every day, but sometimes we need to LOOK for good!
