This book may be of interest to some. It's a compendium and study of the final words spoken by the dying.

As it happens, I believe the last words my wife spoke, several days before she passed, were "I love you." She was in a morphine and phentanyl-induced haze and she was drifting in and out of consciousness, but she was aware that I was there.
