I had tucked her in and was getting into bed beside her for our night's sleep. She spoke to me. She wanted to make love. Of course, in the condition she was in it was impossible. She hadn't eaten for a month and was on morphine and fentanyl. I had to gently tell her we couldn't. I wish we could have, one last time. I hope she forgives me.
