Members ForgetMeNot150
This came on in the car on my way home tonight, and I thought I would share it with you as it sums up just how I'm feeling and others might appreciate it if they haven't heard it before. The artist lost her husband to cancer. I've loved this song for years, but it now has a whole new meaning to me since I lost my beautiful man. I managed to listen to it without crying tonight and sang the chorus loudly so my hubby could hear, so today must be a good day! Sending you all hugs and strength to get through this pain and loneliness. ♥ Sand and Water by Beth Nielsen Chapman All alone, I didn't like the feelingAll alone, I sat and criedAll alone, I had to find some meaningIn the center of the pain I felt inside All alone, I came into this worldAll alone, I will someday dieSolid stone is just sand and water, babySand and water, and a million years gone by I will see you in the light of a thousand sunsI will hear you in the sound of the wavesI will know you when I come, as we all will come,Through the doors, beyond the grave All alone, I heal this heart of sorrowAll alone, I raise this childFlesh and bone, he's justBursting towards tomorrowAnd his laughter fills my world, and wears your smile I will see you in the light of a thousand sunsI will hear you in the sound of the wavesI will know you when I come, as we all will come,Through the doors, beyond the grave All alone, I came into this worldAll alone, I will someday dieSolid stone is just sand and water, babySand and water, and a million years gone by
Moderators widower2 Posted November 14, 2018 Moderators Report Share Posted November 14, 2018 Thanks for that; it's amazing how music can touch us esp in times like this. Definitely helped me in those early days.
