Sorrow
My mother Janet Evanston, was brutally beaten to death, and left in a manner so horrific, has caused me at times like right this very moment unbearable heartache, I just got done talking with a woman from the major crimes unit, who is questioning me like I am a suspect, never mind the fact I was three years old when my mother was brutally beaten to death. My mother was found on October 11, 1975, in San Diego County, after many years of trying to deal with my loss, I decided to contact the sheriff's department to get a police report and finally deal with the facts and move on. I received the police report after many times being told no longer have files destroyed, the department doesn't keep files before 1972, no such case number therefore no homicide, no homicide on file, etc. I finally get the report, only to have my sorrow added too. The way the detectives handled my mother's homicide investigation, to say the least, blatant disregard for the homicide victim, (my mother) I now am in the process of righting a wrong for my mother and if possible the man who was charged with my mother's murder. Out of desperation, I cry out once again, for help to please allow me the will to be and stay willing to do what's right. I found grieving .com...
