Members Derek's_Heart22
My husband, Derek Rivere, was killed in a hit and run on September 8, 2011. Not only was he hit, but he was hit by multiple vehicles. It has been a month now and we still have no answers. At 22 years of age, Derek was left for dead and still had his whole life ahead of him. I believe that it's a shame that he was hit by multiple vehicles and not one person saw anything that can help me, as well as our family, with answers of whom did this to Derek. My husband was a wonderful man but didn't deserve to be left for dead like this, nor does a heroin addict, rapist,or murderer. They are all still human. Derek would give anyone his last penny, the shirt off his back, or anything. If you called and needed him, he would be there in minutes. He was a fire fighter, a husband, a son, a wonderful friend, and in the army where was honorably discharged after losing partial hearing during military training. Moderators widower2 Posted February 27, 2012 Moderators Report Share Posted February 27, 2012 I"m very sorry for your loss. I can't imagine the anger and frustration about the situation, on top of the loss itself. I believe what goes around comes around so whoever did this will get what they deserve, sooner or later. Try not to let it take away your life as well. He would not want that.
Members Leftie46
Gosh, I can't even imagine how painful this is. I really hope that one day you do get some answers. Someone may be overcome by guilty feelings and let you know. I really hope so, I really do. He sounds like he was an amazing husband and I hope that you are managing to make his memory live on, for you.My husband, Derek Rivere, was killed in a hit and run on September 8, 2011.
