Hi all,  I'm sure you've noticed some changes in the forums. We've again had to do some updates, so that's why things may look a little different. Nothing major should have changed.  Also, we are going to start adding advertisements sensitive to our community on the boards. This is something we are experimenting with, and we will certainly make sure they are in the best interests of everyone. We want to make sure our forums continue to stay accessible and cost free to all of our members, and this is a way to ensure this.  If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to privately message me or email me at Konnie@beyondindigo.com.  As always, we will be here with you, ModKonnie

I lost my mother and sister 10 days apart, in June

The title says it all.  I'm not generally sensitive. I feel awkward feeling as sad as I do.I'm not the type to seek support but rather the type to offer it and I don't want to burden anyone with my grief. I have so much to do at work, with my immediate family and I I just float around in a sort of daze. I miss them so much, it's just unbearable some days. I would NEVER kill myself. NEVER but I find my thoughts drifting to wishing I just wasn't alive either. ...I need to feel better I just can't see how right now.

Dear Lorenacoqui,

I am so sorry for you losses.  It's shocking to have 2 losses in such a brief period.  I can't imagine.  You must feel numb at times from the pain.  I too have always had difficulty asking for help.  I'd rather peel my skin off it's so uncomfortable.  I too am more comfortable giving.  No one around me knows the pain I'm in, so I understand to a degree what you're going through.  We are here to listen, so come back and write how you feel as often as you want.  We're all in the same boat here.  I call it the club no one wants to join but we're in it all the same.

Hi Lorenacoqui

I'm so very sorry for both of your losses, I lost my beautiful Mum 2 months ago and that alone has been unbearable. I am nowhere near returning to work yet so what you're doing proves you have inner strength. I think you're doing amazing.

If you can talk to people then do, it helps although I find I can only talk to my family or to close friends who knew Mum really well. I'm not able to socialise at all and spending time with friends who are surrounded by their families and want to support me can make me feel more alone than if I'm on my own. Even shopping trips can be difficult as there are memories of Mum everywhere (we shopped a lot). I find sharing on here helps so share your thoughts, feelings, anger, fears... share it all because people here know and we empathise.

Sending love and hugs

Wendy. Xx

Dear Lorenacoqui,

My deepest condolences and sympathies. I'm very sorry for your loss. I know its a terrible shock and the pain and sorrow is unbearable.  I hear you, my friend.  I know you've always been the strong one, but don't be afraid to reach out. There are many resources in the community and through church. Please know we are all here for you. Thinking of you during this difficult time. Sending all my thoughts and prayers.
