Today would be my mom's birthday. I'm really not sure what I'm supposed to do or how I'm supposed to act. I'm just laying in bed crying. My son has sports practice in the am, hubby is working so I have to take him. And then I've got work in the afternoon. I'm really not sure how I'm going to handle this. The pain I feel right now may be worse then when she first passed. I miss her so much.post-397631-0-49224500-1428728495_thumb.

Jean, I'm wishing you strength. I felt the very same way on my mom's birthday on February 27th: she passed on October 4, 2014. Just hard to think that at that very time last year, I had cooked her a favorite meal and we spent the evening watching videos.

My heart goes out to you.

I'm really truly sorry for all your suffering, which I do understand. I had my moms birthday on the 10th of Dec/14 & was devastated, particularly, as it was one day after mine, right before her angelversary on the 17th of the same month & also Christmas. I know it is supposed to get better, but for me it's been worse. I miss her more every day that goes by. I saw ur poem, and loved it. I truly hope that we can see our moms again, and all this pain isn't in vain. I'm glad they're no longer suffering, of course, but life is empty without them in our lives.

At least you have a son & he's a pretty good reason to exist.

I wish we could all comfort one another in person, that we were all part of a face to face support group of bereaved children.....At least we have this forum to express ourselves & feel that we aren't alone or going crazy, but that our longing and anxiety are part of the awful grieving process.

Thinking of you & wishing you some piece of mind as you move through this life without your dear mom. Our moms are always with us even if we cannot see them or feel them. After all, our brains are so limited to comprehend or explain anything beyond our senses!!!

Take care, and if you ever wish to chat, please feel free to email me directly.

Virtual hugs,

Trish
