Members Mh17Widow
Hi there everyone. I made a new topic about my family's loss in the sudden violent death part of the forum, but perhaps this is more of an appropriate place to share. My husband was murdered along with 297 other people when Ukrainian Russian separatists shot down a passenger plane on its way to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam. My husband was everything to me and we had only been married three years, but had been together for seven. He had been away on business in Europe for a month and was on his way home to myself and our two small children. I spoke to him directly before and after he missed the first shuttle to the airport. Next thing I knew, it was about half seven in the morning and people on my facebook were asking me if he was ok, I told them I had no reason to think he wouldn't be. I knew nothing of the attack. My mother rang me shortly after asking me if he was on his way to Kuala Lumpur and what was his flight number, because there had been a terrorist attack on a passenger plane. I went into an email from him that told me that he had been booked to be on that flight. I rang my mother back, who told me there had been no survivors. I collapsed to the ground and screamed. I found out one week ago that his body had been identified. For a few reasons, the funeral cannot be held for at least another three weeks, which will be the time that he arrives home so I can put him to rest. it will be one month tomorrow since he has passed. I don't really know what else to say right now, thank you for reading.

Members MissingDaniel
What a horrible thing to have to deal with, and I would imagine such a hard way to lose him! You are in my thoughts and prayers, along with all the other families who lost loved ones on that flight. Please know that there are many here who understand at least part of what you are going through, and are happy to listen. Take care of yourself and your precious children during this difficult time. My heart goes out to you!
