Members Gennetta
I lost my mom on April 16th. First I thought I was ok and started a new job but found that I wasn't ok, sleepless nights, anxiety attacks, afraid of being alone. I think I'm losing my mind. I tried explaining it to My husband but I don't he understands.
Members ModKonnie
Gennetta, I am so very sorry about the loss of your beloved mom. You are not crazy. What you are experiencing is perfectly normal. Perhaps talking to a professional will help, or joining a grief support group in your town. Many funeral homes offer grief support groups. Try one out--it may help. When those nearest and dearest to us pass on, we experience all kinds of emotional turmoil and upheaval. You will cycle back and forth between feeling "almost okay" and then the anxiety will start again, or you may even get angry. Some people write letters to their lost loved ones, others create picture collages, write poetry or stories, or even create musical collages to help them get through the toughest of the times. Be sure and take care of yourself--try to eat right and be careful of too much alcohol or caffeine. Those will only add to your problems. WE will be here with you.
