My Daughter shared this at the Funeral

I wanted to share what my youngest daughter read at my wifes funeral.

I cannot put into words how much I love my kids.

Mike

To My Dearest Family

Some things I'd like to say,

First of all to let you know

That I arrived okay

I'm writing this from Heaven

Where I am with God above

Where there's no more tears or sadness

Just eternal Love

Please do not be unhappy

Just because I'm out of sight

Remember that I'm still with you

Every morning, noon and night

That day I had to leave you

When my life on Earth was through

God picked me up and hugged me

and said I welcome you

Then he gave me a list of things

He wished for me to do

and foremost on that list of mine

is to watch and care for you

I will be beside you

every day, week, and year

when you're sad I'm standing there,

To wipe away every tear

When you think of my life on Earth

and all those loving years

because you're only human

they are bound to bring you tears

So do not be afraid to cry

it does relieve the pain

Just remember there would be no flowers

Unless there was some rain

To my very many friends

trust God knows what is best

I'm not far away from you

I'm just beyond the crest

And now I am contended

that my life it was worthwhile

knowing as I passed along the way

I made somebody smile

When you are walking

down the street

and you've got me on your mind

I'm walking in your footsteps

only half a step behind

And when you feel the gentle breeze

or the wind upon your face

that's me giving you a great big hug

or just a soft embrace

I will always love you

from that land way up above

We'll be in touch again soon

P.S. God sends His Love

yes it was great she was able too. Jeremy wrote a letter to his dad i think it brought tears to everyones eyes. no one knew how he was going to get through it but he did.It had some funny parts in it too because Scott was always out to make a person laugh.

That poem was beautiful, your daughter must be strong to keep composed enough to read it, I cried just reading it on the screen, beautiful words though.

I am very proud that my Daughter was able to stay composed and read that at the funeral. I am very Proud to share.

That poem brought some comfort to my shattered heart and put a simple stitch of it back together. Thank you for sharing.
