Members agw123
I have recently learnt of the death of a boy that I used to care for. He lost his life violently, at the age of 15, trying to find his way in the world. It's a sad sad situation and I can't help but wonder if we gave him as much as we could during the short time that he was in our lives. He was born into chaos, he was an absolutely wild and out of control child who for some reason happened to connect with me. He let me see the best sides of him while driving those around us mad. He responded to me, he laughed with me, he captured my heart. His spark will remain with me forever. As situations changed, he was shuffled off to another family member in another city, shuffled into a new life. He was a child that made you want to wrap him up and make life okay for him, to give him something to hope and dream for. He wanted attention and to know that people cared. I feel like we let him down. He did not deserve for his life to end this way. They say that it takes a village to raise a child, and we should take note of this. It is not fair to bring children into a world over which they have no control and few ways out.Sleep well dear boy, and please please discover peace. ......I'm not sure what I'm hoping to gain from posting here, but it helps to have somewhere to put thoughts together.
