I lost my wife in January and recently bought a new and moved. I move right in the middle of all the kids. To not overwhelm the kids I packed up everything myself. I could not myself to to get rid of her things. I did put them in boxes and store them in the attic. When decorating I was respectful without making it a shrine to my wife and mother. I know this is moving forward not moving on so why do I still feel guilty??

I moved 3 times after my wife's death.First i lived 3 years alone but now I live with my parents. I am 58 and they are already old but healthy. We lived in a rural area.Last month  we rent a new apartment at the town and we  are very happy together. I only miss my beloved Rosana but I am sure I will find her in Heaven

Dear brother. It's normal to feel guilty. I also feel guilty because she is not there to share the new apartment. Hope you can feel happy in your new house.

Unfortunately, that's not the easiest question to answer. Much of it relies on your reasons for selling your home and buying a new one. Was this a choice that had to be made or was your decision based on moving closer to your kids? This is a topic that was brought up quite recently here....
