Members Emily Tomlinson Posted August 30 Members Report Posted August 30 Sorry for the typos. I’m writing this an hour after my kitten passed away. I got her 25 days ago, and she was really sweet, playful, and loved me a lot. She would snuggle with me at night and kiss me all over my face. This morning, she fell from the second floor of the building and died. I knew she had zero survival instincts so I always kept the windows closed. But today, some family member seemed to have opened it. I’m shaking right now and I don’t know what to do about the pain I’m feeling. The house is so silent now. It looks so empty without her. How long am I going to feel this pain? Was 25 days a lot? 2
Moderators KayC Posted August 30 Moderators Report Posted August 30 I'm sorry, it was enough for you to know and lover her. Right now, sit with your pain. You can rest assured your kitty is at peace now... Comfort for Grieving Animal Lovers
Members foreverhis Posted August 30 Members Report Posted August 30 I'm so sorry you lost your sweet girl. Whether we have them for 1 week or 20 years, the bond and the love are the same. Kay is right. Right now is the time to simply let yourself grieve. There's no time line or "right" way with grief. Your journey will be unique to you, but please know you are not alone in feeling this deep loss.💗 1
