My mom was my best friend and she received her wings Sunday. I feel lost in the world and she felt like my everything. My mom built me up in my darkest days and was there for my brightest. She was short, feisty, and a beautiful spirit. She will be missed beyond measure.

I feel like I just need to scream.

Then go ahead and scream. I remember when my husband died, going out in the woods and screaming at the top of my lungs!  It's very therapeutic!  I'm pretty sure I scared off some bear and cougar.

I am so sorry for your loss you are not alone.  I just lost my mom in June.   She was the best person I ever knew.  Everyone loved her because she loved everyone.  I have done some screaming.   You will do enough pretending you are fine.  Go ahead and scream and rail against the pain.  It helps.

Then feel free to my friend. Grief is never straightforward. I unexpectedly lost my mother last week. My Dad found her collapsed on the floor and even with CPR, she was unable to be saved. My Dad and brother are having a difficult time since they all lived under the same roof and my Dad and her were married 49 years. I'm beyond devastated but I know with time, each day is going to be a little bit ok than the last.
