Members sw1992 Posted June 29, 2024 Members Report Posted June 29, 2024 Hello my names Sarah Wickham. I talked to my mom on a Saturday morning and heard from her that she wasn't feeling good. That same day she went to the hospital they found masses on her liver. She stayed in the hospital that night. The next morning I asked my sister how my mom was doing. She said they found more masses on her lung and pancreas. That was only in less than a day. Now since she's taking something for pain, not to treat the cancer. But she is indeed dying. I struggle with this news. I do get to see her one more time but there's nothing to say after that except I love you. How do you tell as a son or daughter how to say goodbye without crying. I can't so what could I say otherwise.? 1 1
Moderators KayC Posted June 30, 2024 Moderators Report Posted June 30, 2024 I am so sorry for this news. A close friend of mine went through cancer, now has ramifications from the treatment...seems it's never really over. I think I would simply tell her you are there for her, comfort her if you can. 1 1
Moderators widower2 Posted July 2, 2024 Moderators Report Posted July 2, 2024 I'm very sorry. This is one of those things we know is coming one day but that doesn't make it any easier, esp when it comes out of nowhere..... 2
