Members Popular Post Marq Posted March 16 Members Popular Post Report Posted March 16 Dorothy and I were living apart when she died. We loved each other, saw a future together, but it was where we were. We “knew” we had tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow to make things better. Now I am in her apartment packing up her and our life. This isn’t fair. It is not fair. I’m still crying and giving and note our life are boxes in a storage unit I had a friend in high school who, when he heard some one say “oh my god” he would respond “where? I have questions for that guy.” So where is he? Where is he? He owes us answers! Why was it Dorothy? Where is our tomorrow? 1 1 6
Moderators widower2 Posted March 17 Moderators Report Posted March 17 I'm so sorry for your loss. I think most if not all of us have asked those questions in one way or another. I hope this site can help you to some degree. We "get it" (generally speaking) in a way people who haven't gone through it can't. 1 2

Members I miss you so much Posted March 20 Members Report Posted March 20 I also thought we had "tomorrow" and it's so painful now, all the time we missed, and realizing how our life could have been different and not this nightmare. There is no "tomorrow" anymore, it's just an extended "now" and waiting ...waiting that also this unbearable"now" arrives to an end. 3 1

That is so true. I often wonder where the time has gone. Another week, another month, yet nothing of it committed to memory. Its all just an eternal "now" that merges together. 3 3
