My father is getting remarried, which in retrospect is fine I'm happy for him I just feel empty and alone. All I want is my mom to come back I don't know how to handle this. I haven't been in that church since her memorial service..

Hi dark_phoebe,

Your dad remarrying must be bringing up a lot of emotions and I feel for what you are going through. 

Your Dad lost his wife, but has still found love and partnership in someone  and that helps fill the void.

But you lost your mother. No one can replace that relationship. It's a once in a lifetime thing. I understand not feeling like you can go back to the church her service was in. Is that where your Dad's wedding is? 

If so, would you feel comfortable talking with him about it? Maybe the church has a chapel instead where it could take place. Your feelings are important too as you both enter this new territory.
