Its a long journey I fear......

Hi all 

So my dear mom passed on 5 August 2022 - and I have been trying - really trying to hold it together. My mom and I lived together all our lives and I was with her through both breast cancers. This time it was lung cancer. She was gone in 2 weeks. We have always had cocker spaniels and German Shepard and my 4 legged cockers are grieving as badly as I am (My GS passed on 4 January 2022)  I make sure that we keep to a routine for them and me and although i think we have accepted that mom is gone it has been at times for me unbearable. Friends however have been such a blessing - they visit, they call, they come to see me at the office so I am very fortunate. 

People say time makes it easier - maybe but lets go with that as I need to be positive. 
I read the chats and see that so many of us are going through life in a wounded state.

Hi Roberta

I’m sorry for your loss. I lost my mother on July 30th. She also battled lung cancer for two years. This has been the most difficult month I have ever been through. I try to keep it all together and be there for my father the best I can. 
 

Take your time and most importantly take care of yourself.
