I don't even know where to begin. My spouse was diagnosed with stage 3b cervical cancer 2.5 years ago. She was 32 at the time. We have 2 beautiful daughters aged 13 and 8. We went through the struggles in the past couple years. Chemo, radiation, then round 2, round 3 and round 4. Nothing seemed to slow it down. This past fall and into winter, she lost the use of her one leg. Large dvt and tumour pushing against aorta. But we had renewed hope when in January, her oncologist pushed for an expensive immunotherapy which the manufacturer covered. It was a blessing. Only 2 days ago, after spending much of the time from boxing day till now in hospital, she was released only to get a call from her oncologist that treatments aren't working. Ct scan revealed considerable spread. Yesterday, her oncologist called again only to reveal the time which is left. A couple months at most. We sat our daughters down and explained to them in the best way possible. Devastation. I've never experienced anything so heartbreaking in my life. It feels like I'm in some horrible dream and praying I wake up and all is better. I feel lost. She is taking this a whole lot better than our daughters and myself. My eyes are dry, burning and feeling swollen. The headaches. Does anybody know how to help ease any of this.... for our daughters and myself? I'm scared to death and wish I could switch places with her. I'd do it in a heartbeat if I could.

Dear Dallas70,

I'm so sorry to hear what you've been through with your wife and children. It's extremely difficult and sad. Sending all our thoughts and prayers. Please know there is support and help in the community for you and your daughters. I don't know where you live, but I have included some links for support in the Dallas area.
