Members Eryka
My partner unexpectedly died last week. We have lived together for 18 years We have 3 kids together, and he has 3 other kids that come to our house on weekends. We were never legally married. It didn't matter to us. I love him so much. I'm struggling and trying to support my kids and step kids. Family and friends are here for us. Im pretty sure we are in major financial trouble because he was the main breadwinner and we don't have wills etc and we have debt and I don't make enough to support this household. My partner has autism and a lot of issues. Our children are autistic. We don't yet know what happened. I just found out the mother of my stepsons hired a lawyer to represent their "interests" and I guess sue me, as well as telling them and family members that this is my fault, I caused his death, etc. She has a long history of interfering in our life and manipulating him into doing things that messed up his life. She was an abusive partner and mother. I'm already severely struggling and this makes an awful situation more stressful. I was referred to this site by a friend and I think it helped to write it down
