Members Yoli Posted February 10, 2021 Members Report Posted February 10, 2021 Indy and I used to sing a duet of Islands in the Stream to each other - quite badly I have to admit. But today actually reading the lyrics it is quite profound; Islands in the stream That is what we are No one in between How can we be wrong Sail away with me To another world And we rely on each other, ah-ha From one lover to another, ah-ha I can't live without you If the love was gone Everything is nothing If you got no one And you just walk in the night Slowly losing sight of the real thing
Members Dawn Wms Posted February 10, 2021 Members Report Posted February 10, 2021 Yea, the lines really speak to our grief. I used to find such lyrics corny (but I still loved most of those songs) but now they really resonate with me. I thought it was a bit of a stretch to say, "I can't live without you". Now I say it every day, over and over again.
