Members Coco
My mother was moved into palliative care yesterday and she is not expected to live very long. While one sister lives next door to her, my other siblings and I live 3,000 miles away across the country. We are trying to plan and go see her but it is not easy with kids, work and life. We are torn, sad and heartbroken. Have any of you dealt with having a dying parent who lives far away?
Members reader
Dear Coco, I'm very sorry to hear your mom has been moved to palliative care. I know this is an extremely difficult time. May I suggest checking out this website and forum on Aging Care, where I think there will be more people who can offer advice and support as it is geared towards people with aging parents. Thinking of you and your family.
