I know people say time heals...the only thing it has helped for me is less crying. It still hurts everyday. My heart feels like it is breaking into a million pieces. My Dad died August 14, 2015. He was my hero. No one ever taught/talked about grieving.

I lost my mother to a brain aneurysm on 4/29/15. Her rupture was 9/12/14, and she remained in the hospital unconscious and unresponsive for a month.  All I did was pray and ask for "one more day", and I kept getting that. She opened her eyes in late October of 2014, and occasionally there would be (we believe) some recognition.  Honestly though, more times than not it was as if she were looking at strangers.  After 3 months of this I knew eventually the doctors would have "The Talk" with us, and then I began to pray that God wouldn't have us make the call, and he would take her when it was her time.  Unfortunately we ultimately had to make the decision and started her on hospice care on 4/17/15.  It was peaceful and horrible simultaneously.  The pain is still horrible, and I've come to say that whoever came up with the saying "Time Heals All Wounds" never lost a loved one, or was lying to themselves.
