Jeff's Mom

I had mentioned this many months back in an earlier post and then deleted it. During my mother-in-laws illness she was hospitalized several times prior to her death. The last time being for two months on a palliative care ward dying of cancer. She was a very stubborn and head strong woman. Some would call difficult. Anyway, she started to tell us about a couple that would come into her room at night to stand at her bedside and talk to her. They would sometimes pray or sing. We felt fairly confident that it was the heavy medication they were giving her and she was indeed hallucinating. But it continued. She eventually asked the staff to ask them to leave. Apparently they told her they were there to help her to cross over. She told them she was not going anywhere and again asked them to leave. She called for the head nurse and actually lodged a formal complaint to keep them out. They told us they heard these stories continually on the ward. Well, one day I walked in to her room and her cute little nurse that was just a sweetheart was quite shaken. I asked her what was wrong. She told me that our son had been in to see Helen that night and that Helen called for a nurse to show him out when they were finished visiting to make sure he did not get lost on his way out! I told her it was not possible that our son was dead. She then proceeded to tell me a few things that nobody else could possibly have known. Helen died a few days later.

Warm greetings, Kate!

It is great to hear from you again! I am so glad you have shared this occurrence with us at this time. It does help those of us who are doing continuous research into these matters as well as many others across the world who are still unfortunately in denial about the Afterlife. Hopefully, it will help some to open their eyes to accept the reality of the Afterlife after physical life as we know it ceases in this world and we move on to the world of spirit. We need to be having many more discussions in this area instead of cowering from it as the Afterlife will ultimately and most assuredly affect everyone who is alive today!

Yes, it is very possible that those who have passed on before us come to visit with those who are going to join them shortly. There are many case histories to support this. When a person is on their last few weeks of life they tend to leave their body sporadically and join those in spirit and then it tends to become more and more frequent. Likewise, those in spirit come to visit those who are about to make their transition in order to bring them comfort and guidance that "death" is not something they need to fear or worry about. It is these loving beings who were formerly incarnate in this world who come to speak to those about to cross over and through the grace of God many have found that to be very comforting in their time of need. Like I say, there are so many case histories of this happening and many doctors and nurses have spoken to the reality of this matter. Unfortunately news about these very real occurrences are not openly broadcast by major media with few exceptions from time to time. If they were, many would find great comfort in knowing that they are not "losing it" when they personally have or learn of others who have this great experience regarding the visitation of loved ones from spirit.

There is so much to say on this subject matter and I, for one, am so glad that ModKonnie has provided this area for such discussions though they are certainly welcome in most any other area of the forum.

Again, thanks for your input, Kate, and I hope you have a wonderful and very blessed day!

I would only like to add that it is not only possible. It is indeed fact! They do come to escort us over. To help us to find our way and to give us God's support in leaving our earthly realm. And I also believe that it does not matter what a person's creed or colour...how we choose to worship our God in whatever Church, Mosque, or Synagogue, Temple, etc. What matters is that we live out our lives in the best way we can and honouring God in all ways. To love each other unconditionally...to show ultimate respect for our neighbour, friend, family member. Even the sinner has hope. He is after all a creation of God. And anything that God creates is good. We are human however and we can lose our way due to free will. But that is not to say we do not have hope. We are all here for a reason and a lesson to learn. As far as talking openly about experiences I do feel that it is a good thing as long as it does not frighten people. People on this forum are vulnerable and raw after having suffered a traumatic loss. I am certain that your purpose is to offer support and encouragement that they can take heart and know their loved ones are in a wonderful place. I hope that my posts have done the same. I can only offer what I have experienced in the hope that it will give some comfort.

Thank you, dear Kate! I am in complete agreement with you on all counts!

Thank you also for your participation in this effort by sharing with us from your own personal experiences. I have no doubt that many will learn from that and perhaps even be moved enough to think differently about the Afterlife and communication from those dearly beloved of ours who are now residing in that realm.

And yes, my purpose is to alert others to the fact that when we pass on or our loved ones pass on, we and they will not just fade to black. We will enter into another dimension of existence where we will continue to learn things in order to continue our spiritual growth which is a non-ending effort. That is why it is so important to do that which you have said in your post regarding the loving of one another UNCONDITIONALLY and to do good deeds while here as where we will end up when our time comes will greatly depend on what we did here on Earth and how we lived our life and our interactions with others.

Please feel free to write more on this as you feel led. It is an utter joy to read your responses!

Have a very Blessed day with Jesus by your side!

Kate, I am so sorry to read that you have lost your son, and your mother-in-law, but that is truly an awe-some experience. I lost my brother sveral years ago to cancer as well, brain cancer to be specific. The tumors affected his personality, and medication affected his personality even more--hard to say where the line between meds and tumor activity could be drawn. I was with him during his last month of life, and I had the privilege of seeing, or rather hearing about from him, a similar experience. it began about two and a half weeksbefore he died, I had only been in town with him about a week, and one night wile I was sitting with him reading or writing or doing something, I heard him fidgeting in bed and saw him reaching out with his good arm. There was no one else in the room and he stopped reaching out but started just nodding his head, looked like he was on the receiving end of a conversation. When it seemed to have ended I asked him what was up, finally asked the right question--"Who was it?" turns out our mother had visited him, he loved our mother dearly, they were very close. She died aabout twenty yrs ago, and at first honestly I just assumed he was hallucinating. But in his strained speech I got him to tell me some details and he was definitely identifying our mother, he said repeatedly that "it's Ma, Ma's here, Ma's here, Ma's here". I feel awful in hindsight that I attributed this all to hallucinations but I was just unprepared, I didnt know much about the dying process especially of brain cancer patients. Among other things one thing that he insisted on after that first vision of her was that I had to bring him one of his ties because our mother told him to "bring a tie". She always liked to see her boys dressed up. It was totally a request our mother would make. He was very anxious until I brought him one of his neckties and put it at his side. We kept it by his bedside until he died because as long as he was able to, he kept asking to make sure no one moved it. It ws a horrible and painful time for our family but having sat with my brother while he had these experiences where our mother came to apparently visit him, and it happened several times after that first time, it actually brought a lot of comfort to me and to others. To know that our mother remains with us in that way, and that our brother gained a great deal of peace from that experience, made that point of our brother's cancer journey a little bit easier to deal with. This is an experience I do not share with many people, i am sure most would write me off as crazy and my brother off as delusional, but.....as BreathofAngel wrote, I think our departed ARE still "very much with us".

Joe, thanks for sharing your experience with us. You are far from crazy. Just being honest and open about your experience. And I know that for me it is truly uplifting and comforting to know that life does continue after this one. I am really pleased that your Mom was there at the end to comfort your brother and to give him strength and support. It sounds as if it did the same thing for you as well. I wonder how many others have experienced the same type of things, but are afraid to come forward for fear of the stigma attached? Again, thank you for telling us about your brother. And yes, they are still all with us. Anybody else out there that has an experience to share?

We lost our 18 year old son in a car accident on June 7. Ever since then, the touch lamp in his room has come on at unpredictable intervals. It's possible it did that before -- but I don't remember it doing that. My husband and I compared notes ... and even early on, we joked that it was Nathan's ghost. I've since cleaned and re-purposed his room as a guest room, but we left the touch lamp in there, plugged into a different outlet. It still goes on unpredictably. I never see it actually light up, it is just on when I go in there. I've tried to figure out a rational explanation for it -- vibration, power surges, appliances kicking on/off, cell phone signals. I haven't found any concrete reason for it to just turn on spontaneously. When do I find it lit, I talk to Nathan, as if he was there. I feel I can almost sense his presence, it's hard to describe.

The other day, I walked into his room and the light was on. After turning it off, I said aloud how I wish that I knew it was really him ... if there was just some way to show me that he was really there. I left the room for just a minute to get something, walked back by and it was on again!! I don't remember it turning back on right away before! There was absolutely nothing going on that could account for the lamp to spontaneously turn on. I was struck with certainty that Nathan WAS there and he had turned the light right back on to prove to me that it was him and not just something random. I thanked him and told him that I believed! :-)

And here's another odd thing -- when my husband finds the lamp on, it is "clicked" twice. (It's a 4 way switch, as you touch it, the light cycles through 3 levels of brightness, then off). That is a convincer for my husband, who says that "one click" might be random ... but two couldn't be! Yet, for me it is always clicked only once. Go figure.

I still half wonder if it is all random coincidence somehow (I AM a scientist), but the belief that Nathan is still here, still with me -- is incredibly comforting. It gives me joy and a sense of peace.

Also, two separate friends of his posted on his Facebook page about having vivid, realistic dreams that he visited them, and they "hung out" just like they used to. I think he is visiting them ... it would be so like him! Why wouldn't he spend time with his friends, just as he did in life? That also makes me smile, and know that my Nathan hasn't changed a bit! It's totally what he would do.

Dear MBN,

First and foremost, I am very sorry for the physical loss of your son, Nathan. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful success story about the continuation of life with regards to your dear son!

That just goes to show that spirit can indeed manipulate energy and they do! Since they, in their Spiritual Body, vibrate at a much higher rate of vibration without the weight of a denser full physical body they become quite adept at coming back into this realm and turning appliances, etc. on and off as a way of showing their loved ones and others that they are still very much here with us, as my main Subject to this thread indicates. This is most exciting for them as it is for us!

I experience such phenomena quite frequently. The phenomena seems to best manifest close to electrical outlets or appliances I have found out. That is because such items give spirit people greater empowerment with which to act as they do as they can receive a harmonious charge from the electricity generated.

It is indeed wonderful that your Nathan is letting you know that he is still very much right there with you and the rest of his family and friends! Also great is his dream visitations with his friends whom he is still obviously close to. If his friends are into video games and such and they could see him with their physical eyes standing right beside them as they play and hear him they would find that he is right there with them coaching them on things just as before. When a person returns to spirit, from whence they originally came, they retain their full personality and demeanor just as they had on Earth in their physical body. That does not change. And they also retain their full memory to remember who their parents and friends are thus, they can interact with them just as before as they don't consider being in another realm a hindrance other than they cannot physically do things as they did before with the touch and voice factor, etc. But these things that you are speaking about Can and Do happen because the veil between our two worlds is so thin and they are better able to visit us as frequently as they like. In fact, spirit can travel as quick as thought because of the mental world in which they reside. If they wish to come to Earth and be at a certain city or country all they have to do is think about the place and PRESTO! they are there! We, in human embodiment, are eons behind them in being able to do this BUT our time is coming when we make our own transition of that there can be no argument.

Thank you again for your posting, MBN! I will be posting much more related material shortly on this subject matter so watch for it!

May God bless you and your family with many more visitations from your dear son, Nathan!

One of the things I had regretted is not keeping more of Nathan's things from when he was little -- you know, the arts and crafts and papers and things that they bring home by the reams in the early grades. After a while it stacks up and I just tossed it out after a while as I cleaned. I thought it was all just gone.

But ... as I was cleaning a file cabinet on Saturday, I found a file with photos and something made by Nathan when he was about 2 years old. It was from pre-school, Valentines day .. a pink construction paper heart with his little hand print in the middle. So precious ... something I thought I had long ago discarded. And then, yesterday, I happened to spy some papers at the very back of a drawer. Somehow, stuffed back behind a cabinet that I was sure I had entirely cleaned out was a small stack of Nathan crafts from around kindergarten time frame. One of the crafts was a (then) life-size tracing of his body outline, cut out of a large piece of paper, and then colored / decorated by him with a paper plate "face". Maybe it's just coincidence, but I found these things in a place where they shouldn't be, at a time when I wished that I had something from that era.

I feel so strongly that Nathan is still connected to me. He's not "around" all the time, it's as though he knows that in my heart I've given him the freedom to fly. Just as in life, I want him to spend time with his friends and enjoy his new existence in a realm that I can only imagine. I'm not going to hold tightly to him, I just want to hear from him from time to time.

It gives me incredible peace and comfort to know he's still out there, happy and being himself. Although I'm sad, and I miss him beyond words, it somehow gives me strength and heart to live my own life fully. I don't know if I'm making sense. But it helps me get through this.

Thank you for sharing this with us, MBN! It is so wonderful to know that your Nathan is still around and letting you know in these ways that he is! How precious to find his little handprint! That was a wonderful discovery!

It is known that those in spirit can manipulate objects well. I know from my own personal experiences that I have found shoes that were placed in one place that were moved around differently from the way I had them a short time later. There was no one else in the house and I have no pets or windows that I could blame a strong wind for having done that. Therefore, I knew my loved one had come to move the shoes to let me know they were there. I was speaking to a lady some time back who also told me of a similar experience. Her Mother had passed away and she had kept her shoes in a special place. She had placed them in a certain way but a short time later the shoes were completely rearranged differently although no one else was there to have caused that to happen. So it is with your dear Nathan's drawings. He knows how you think of him so often and how you were wishing that you would find something from his formative years and he saw to it that you found what he had brought forth to place where you could see it!

Some people get scared when these things happen. But why I would ask? The only logical explanation I have is that they scare easily simply because they do not bother to find out more, through studies and research as I do, about the way of spirit and how spirit operates from their new dimension and what they are capable of doing. If they did they would not be so scared and instead their fear would subside and turn into happiness by knowing that their loved ones come to visit them in ways they could readily recognize.

Nathan may not be around 100% of the time but that is because those in spirit have their spirit lives to continue with. They have to learn new things and do certain work in order to continue with their spiritual growth. But they can and do see and hear one when we call out to them or think about them. The mind-to-mind connection is instant! That is because those in spirit live in a mental world where all is done or accomplished by mere telepathic thought. Many in this world cannot begin to comprehend that but that is to be expected as that way of communication is not done here simply because we vibrate at a much lower rate than spirit and it would take us much longer here in a denser world to do what can be done in almost an instant in the world of spirit.

So, oh yes, Nathan is still very much there with you! That is the Good News!! He knows what happens in your day-to-day life also. In the spiritual world what happens here is known there too usually much faster than it would be known here. For example, news that are happening right now across the globe will be known to us eventually, perhaps in the next hourly newscast. But in the spiritual world they already know about it as it is happening. There is much to say here but for the sake of brevity let me just say that there are messengers who relay news to those in spirit much like a television station or radio station relays news to us here. And just as we can see a "live cam" report (if we are tuned to the news right then and there) to see what is happening NOW, spirit can also see and hear about those things there by those who relay such happenings in this world simply because since all is done through thought and telepathy, for the most part, everyone is on the same 'wave length' so to speak therefore, simultaneously each can learn of these things that happen here, instantly. That is why when a loved one or friend is about to make their transition back into spirit, spirit is there waiting for them ready to escort them to their new realm of habitation.

Again, I am very happy to know that Nathan keeps his presence close to you and will continue to do so as once again I say that those loving relationships with parents, children, relatives, kin, close friends, etc. never will cease to exist if both parties have Love in their heart for the other. Love will continue to flourish no matter in what dimension of existence we or they happen to be. MBN, you have a wonderful grasp of what needs to happen with Nathan by **allowing him the freedom that he rightfully deserves as there is so much to do in spirit. He does need some time to continue to do that which he knows must be done over there that will aid in his spiritual growth. (**"allowing" him means no excessive crying or excessively prolonged mourning that actually serves to thwart those in spirit from moving further with their spiritual growth because they can sense or feel the lower "weeping energy" of ours that keeps them back from those things they need to do plus other things.)

One other thing that always helps those in spirit is our Prayers! When we pray for them, they are able to receive those prayers telepathically. God is of course omniscient and knows all but also receives our prayers as streams of light from our heart to His. So, always pray for your loved ones at least once a day if not more. They will sure appreciate that and it will serve to reassure them that they have not been forgotten but are loved eternally by us!

Here is an excellent website for those who have lost their children. http://www.bereavedparentsusa.org/

May God Bless You and bring you many more comforting ADCs from Nathan and may your days be filled with God's loving light!

Dear Cassidy's Mama, I am so very sorry for the physical loss of your dear son. But the great news is that he is not "dead gone", as you put it! He's just in another form of existence now as we all must be at our appointed time. Therefore, he can still See you and Hear you when you call out or speak to him! And please remember that the soul can never turn into ashes! It continues to live on ETERNALLY just as Strong and as Great once it has departed from its physical body.

It appears like you have been receiving some ADCs from your son! Since you are looking for more ADCs from him, I thought these great web links would be inspirational to you! They are from a WONDERFUL website, by Christine Duminiak, called "After-Death Communication - Prayer Wave". Many people share their heart-warming stories, on her site, on how they have heard from their departed loved ones in spirit! There are so many loving people there to add their support to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one!

This is a story from a Mom, like you, who is writing about her departed Son!

As for not being able to remember the dream visits from your son, take heart my dear, one technique that works quite well is before retiring for the night ask God to help you receive a loving Dream Visit from your son. Be sure to have a pen and notebook handy by your bedside and just as soon as you awaken, even if it is in the middle of the night, Write Down all that you can remember about his visit, include the date, who was in the visit, time, etc.! That will help you to remember better as once a person fully awakens, we immediately reconnect with our physical body and since the visit is done entirely through Spirit it is often times difficult to recollect what transpired. With a notebook at hand you can quickly capture that All Important occasion and treasure it for time to come!

May God bless you and help you to receive more visits from your beloved Son just as you wish!
