Hello everyone,

We have been looking a partner for a long time that can assist people productively on their grief journey. We need a partner who is:

  1. Worldwide in their assistance
  2. Can help people in a therapeutic manner beyond what support can be offered through our grieving.com community.

Choosing Therapy at directory.choosingtherapy.com offer these qualifications. To help our community they are offering free 15 minute consults to see how they can assist each individual on their journey. Please go visit this link to make an appointment: https://calendly.com/aschmitt-4/grieving-com-therapist-match-consultation.

Do you have questions about this service? How it works? Please post your questions here in this forum.

Hi Kelly and grieving.com members! I'm so excited for our new partnership, and for the opportunity to engage with your members and help connect them to supportive therapists experienced in helping people through loss and grief. At Choosing Therapy we know that therapy changes lives, and we are committed to helping people get started. To do this, I am making myself available to speak with members at Grieving.com who are interested in learning more about therapy and finding a therapist. I am offering free consultations, where I will learn more about what you are struggling with and desire in a therapist. I will then suggest a few therapists that I think would be a great fit, and provide you with their profiles so you can learn more about them and decide who you'd like to work with. I will always follow-up to answer any questions or concerns you have, and help facilitate scheduling your therapy appointment. I look forward to making this process as seamless as possible because I know it can be overwhelming during times of grief.  Looking forward to helping in anyway I can.  Adriane

Adriane,

Thank you for the offer of your help! Lovely. This time is especially hard for so many people depending on their faith system. Just having an extra "helping hand" can be HUGE. People can also just push the NEED HELP button in the lower right hand corner to reach out to Andriane and her crew.

Remember, they can help people from around the world.

Thanks Kelly!  I understand grief is a very powerful emotion and often times people are judged about the time it may take to them to process the loss.  I'm also a therapist and am currently working with a woman who lost her brother two years ago and while she has an amazing husband, he has opinions about where she is in her stage of grief.  I just want our members to know that if your grieving in a fishbowl with friends and family judging you what your doing/what your saying, you may need someone like a counselor who specializes in grief and loss to express your feelings to without worrying if you're going to say the wrong thing. I know that with my client, her just being able to express her thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental space has brought tremendous relief!

Adriane,

Man that is NO JOKE about being in the fishbowl and not understand everyone walks their grief journey at their own pace. We have had people here who have re-married after a loss of a partner and that has caused struggles in the new marriage because the loss that has now become part of life forever. Non-Judgement is such a gift. Thank you for offering it to people of Grieving.com.
