How to deal with the Facebook account of a lost loved one

Recommended Posts

hinchberger

I lost my wife in 2007. One of the most difficult things was dealing with all the bureaucracy and administrative stuff precisely at a time when I was dazed and confused. I muddled through, but it would have been nice to have more help – not only on the emotional side but also with practical issues.

Fast forward to now. I am a freelance writer. I have signed on to create content for a start-up that intends to provide orientation for people who have lost loved ones.

At the moment, I am writing an article about how to deal with the Facebook account of someone when they die. I would like to receive input from people who have been through this process: what worked, what didn’t, tips for others - things like that.

Anyone who wishes to participate can contact me by email: billhinchberger@yahoo.com
