Members Gail SB.
My father passed away (December 11th, 2018), so it's been a little over a year. I find it difficult celebrating the Holidays without him, but in honesty, I do it for my 8 year old son. It's New Years Eve, so it's just another reminder that my Dad won't be here for the new year (sigh). I have good days and bad days. My hardest days are the ones where I long to hear his voice and see his smiling face. It's been a year, but I still have trouble accepting that he's really gone. My question is will I ever really accept it?
Members reader
Dear Gail, I'm so sorry, it is so hard to go through the holidays without our beloved parents. I read this article that I found helpful. He is a much better writer than I could ever be. https://www.spectator.co.uk/2009/08/another-voice-12/ I hope it will help. Thinking of you.
