I wrap my arms around myself, so that I remember all of the hugs she gave me. I talk out loud, so that I can remember her voice. I sit and I cry because these are the only things I have left of my MOM. I love you, I miss you and most of all I wish that you were here with me right now. I can't get my head around this life with no parents. Was it Oscar Wilde who said - it's better to have loved and loss than never to have loved at all? I don't know. Members CKJ2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Members Report Share Posted May 8, 2019 I miss my mom and dad immensely too. My mom recently passed unexpectedly last year, the day after thanksgiving. My father passed away 12 years ago from cancer the day after Christmas. The holidays will never be the same. I often wonder the same thing. I call myself an adult orphan.
