Everything changed when she died.

 

Nothing was real and everything was tumbling and breaking and spiraling and unraveling and oh so very different.

 

We picked up each other's pieces and fled as though it might not follow us to our graves if we ran fast enough.

 

We healed, broken.

 

We healed, warped.

 

And life moved on.

 

Life moved on and more people passed and we watched the cycle begin around us.

 

We picked up others' pieces when we saw they couldn't do it themselves.

 

The cycle never stopped for us.

 

We simply adapted to the spin.

I know processing grief is a long road. I hope you will consider talking to a grief counsellor or joining a support group in the community or through church.

You have put into words something I feel. Especially today at my friends funeral and in this last year regarding multiple losses. Love and light to you on your grieving journey.
