I think the polished concrete floors look great!  The game room and home theater look like they will provide lots of  fun times.

It's nice that you and Carla have been able to make shared memories in creating your new space together.

Beautiful!  Absolutely stunning.  Perfect for the architecture (John would want me to mention that) and so much light with natural views.  Love it.

The task looks daunting but what a thing of beauty you have created together!  The tangled cords are why I try not to change things!  :D

Unbelievable, stunning is right!

Autocharge,

My husband took much pride in his sound systems, for home movie watching and separately for music.  I don't even know how to describe all the specialized equipment he had compiled, but his best friend was a Dolby executive and amazing sound engineer and he installed and balanced our sound systems.  It was extraordinary!  Friends who came over to watch movies were always amazed. You felt like you had to dodge the bullets or jump out of the way of crashing cars. Your ears told you you were directly in the middle of all the action.  I suspect you would have appreciated all of that.

Now I just use the TV's normal built in speakers.  Very acceptable, but I never have to duck and cover anymore.

I love seeing the deer.  We have a lot in Florida too. At my son's house they are quite bold and will frequently just cautiously watch you as you pull in, park, and go in the house.  Always beautiful.

Thanks for sharing.

Gail

My cables etc look like a series of afterthoughts, more of a nightmare, yours looks very organized, it helps to know what you're doing!

I love the deer and can appreciate them as that is one of the things I love about this place.  My dog alerts me so I don't miss out on seeing them!

Autocharge,

So good to hear from you, and to hear things are going well.  I am so happy for you.

Things are going well for me also.  I have figured out a way to live (really connected to life and enjoying things again) without my dear husband.  I still miss him of course.  Life is harder without him, but I am finding ways to cope. But I am engaged in life again. Active in volunteering. Spending a lot of time with my grandchildren.  I have 3 vacations planned for this this year and I am looking forward to each of them.  It is a far cry from my first 3 years in deep grief.

Looking forward to seeing your photographs and hearing the stories of your adventures. I am glad you and Carla are making memories together.

I am so glad you two found each other, that you have a partner to share in life with, there's no doubt in my mind that you two love each other.  It's always so good to hear from you, we love your pictures and your sharing your adventures...for me I love it because you do the things I can't or don't want to do alone, you're very adventurous, I love it!  I was that way more with George, but was much younger then too.  My life is more humdrum now. ;)

So glad you and Carla made it out of the flood waters.  I can hear the tension in both of your voices that this was a very serious situation.  The trouble with flood waters over roads is you can't see how bad it is under the water.  So glad the road was still there and you made it out safely.

What an adventure!!!!

Hello All.

The back story on the flood waters. Carla and I were up in Glacier National park tent camping in the cold rain. When we got the call from the ranger at Pompies pillar. He tells us the Yellowstone River is four feet and rising from our Camper. Problem is we are 8 hours away. After packing up camp, I think I broke every speed limit sign between Glacier and Billings. We arrived at 2am and was packed and out by 3am. Couldn't have been closer.

The First part of August We went to FlagStaff AZ. and went sight seeing for a week. We did the grand canyon in one day (south, east and north rims). We saw an did many things while in flagstaff, too many to list, a weeks worth for sure maybe more. Will post some pics.

Planning a trip to mobile alabama soon, Vacation and having some work done on the RV. Making it boondocking capable. (adding solar and batteries with Generator prep) so stand by for more pics.

We then managed to get in Alabama, Louisiana , and Pensacola Florida. (pics below). Also got in the Texas state Fair. 20.00 for a turkey leg.(ouch)  Carla and I just had our first anniversary  of marriage .

Hello All

Been awhile , hear are some pics.

Google maps showing our travels for 2022

Deer in the back yard, one I call Buck Zill (19 or 20 pointer)

Rockie

and Ice in texas.

Been busy, Started making plans for Jackson hole WY this year. Year 3 for volunteer river ranger.

Main goal is to get some really good pics of some moose this year. It's kind of scary how google tracks you based on your cell phone tower location activity. Made lots of improvements to the RV this past off season, hope they all workout this summer.

My daughter tells me she is serious about this guy she is dating and would like to start a family soon. WOW Carla and I could be grand parents in the near future if it all works out. Game Changer in coming.

So beautiful!  It looks like paradise for sure! Not unlike where I live in the mountains of Oregon.  My neighbor just posted video on his wildlife cam, bear and fox, close to his house.

Trust me when I say google is the least of your concerns when it comes to being tracked.

I have worked on programs and equipment that most people can't phantom .

I like to think I have help save a lot of American military personal from danger or death. Though out my career.
