How To Use Grieving.com Chat Room

There are a couple of ways to use the chatroom feature at Grieving.com. Both the 1 to 1 private chats and the group chats can be found in the exact same place. Let us take a look.

1.When you sign into chat you will be presented with a chatroom. Look on the left for tabs that say private and chatroom.

2. If you click on a person’s name, then you will be having a one to one chat with this person that is private. It will only be between you two. If you want to talk to a person scroll down and type in the chatbox at the bottom. You will see the persons name in the tab below where you type the text.

3. To join a hosted chat that is listed on the schedule, go back up on the left and click chatroom. A list of chatrooms will pop up. Check the schedule to see what chatroom will be open. It works like private chat where it is a big room, a place to text at the bottom. You will also see the private chats you have going at the same time by the tabs open at the bottom.

Tips: If you want to see who is in the chatroom look to the upper right hand corner of the chat and click on the four lines stack ontop of each other. The name of people in the hosted chat will show here.

If you haven’t chatted i awhile, make sure to go up to the top of your page and click refresh to post to people or see what people are posting to you.

4. Chat is also available at the bottom of the Grieving.com page when it is open. You will see bars with the people’s name you are talking to in the chat appear here as well. This allows you to go browse some other aspect of Grieving.com but keep up your conversation at the same time.
