This is Jilly's 20th birthday...her first one in Heaven. We did a sky lantern launch which was amazing, joyful and uplifting. Over 100 people showed up.

    Thank you for the beautiful poem. The words touched me and since my Rachael was 22 years old I felt like it was specific to me. I am so very sorry for your pain and loss. May God bring comfort to all of us today.

    It doesn't exactly feel unreal- just sometimes as if it was yesterday, and other times, like it was three years ago. Funny about that...I put her angel date as the 27 because that is when we took her ashes to her beach. It was a beautiful tribute to one of the best people I have ever known. God blessed me greatly for the 33 years I had her with me. I am so proud of the woman she became.

    Hi there,
    I read your post, and am sorry for the loss of your daughter. I lost my son, age 15, on October 3rd, 2011. He was hit from behind while skateboarding/walking? 1/4 mile from our home. We believe the driver to have been inattentive behind the wheel, although no charges have been filed as of yet.
