Members cindyjane
Hugs Seafoam ... I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a parent comes with a real mixed bag of emotions ... heavy sadness, guilt, anger, to mention a few. My heart goes out to you because you have so much more going on in your life which would add to the mix. Whether dealing with our own addiction or the addiction of other family members, there IS help out there. Alanon is a great source of help and understanding and the good part is, you don't have to say a word at the meetings. You can just go and listen which is healing. No-one tells you what to do ... they just share their stories and what they do to get through their day. It's good that you came here because sometimes it helps to know that other care and the good people here, really do care. We've all been through the trauma of losing a parent and know your pain. Just take it one day at a time and go with your feelings ... you'll get through this. take careCindy Jane
Members StayingPositive
By the sounds of things you're pretty amazing it's hard now but give yourself time .. You'll be just fine Try not get into the habit of drinking at night though .. Work hard, try and get away from any bad situations, let your family know you're there for them but make sure you're happy and healthy
