Eventually we live with the loss and hopefully can still see the joy around us. My Mom died in October (unexpected) and my dad is terminally ill (so the doctors say. We are still optimistic). Coping means functioning for me. I had to tell myself she was just on a long trip for 3 months, just so I could keep working and doing what had to be done. I still can't believe she is gone.
