Tough day

In a couple of days it will be 1 year since I lost my mom.  18 days ago my dad passed on.  Sadly I lost both parents in less than a year.  Now I feel that I am starting to grieve my mom all over again as If it was yesterday ... as well I am grieving the recent loss of my dad.  The only thing that is bringing me comfort right now is that today would have been their 62nd wedding anniversary and I just know that they are together in Heaven and celebrating this special day with the Lord.

Tomorrow will be my first day back to work since my dad passed on and I am not sure how the day will go but I do know that when I wake up I will start the day in giving thanks for being blessed with such wonderful parents.  I find that in being grateful I can get through those tough days.

May all who have lost a parent be blessed with comfort.

I am so sorry for the loss of your parents. I have read through so many posts here looking for comfort in the loss of my mom, and you are always such a blessing to others. I just want you to know that I am sorry for your pain.

Hi Rosewind

Thanks so much for your kind words.  I also find much support here.  So sorry about the loss of your mom.

I made it through my shift yesterday and in reflecting on the day, it was good to be at work and with my

co-workers and return to a routine.  I had my moments but got through the day.  We just have to keep on

plugging away until the heaviness of our hearts lift ... and I believe that it will.
